November 22 is Psychologist’s Day in Russia!
The Russian Psychological Society reports approval of a professional holiday - the Psychologist’s Day, which will be celebrated on November 22.
This day is associated with the first founding congress of the Russian Psychological Society. Russian Psychological Society is the largest professional and scientific association of psychologists in the country. The history of psychological society dates back to formation in 1885 of the Psychological Society at Moscow Imperial University (now Lomonosov Moscow State University). Discussion on the possibility of establishing a date for the holiday was proposed by Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Psychology of Lomonosov Moscow State University, PhD in Psychology, A.I. Kovalev at a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin within the framework of the II Congress of young scientists, held on December 1, 2022.
